Apple Cider Caramel Sauce, the name says it all…..

Sweet apple flavor in a thick and creamy sauce. What more could you want to pour over your Cinnamon Apple Strata?  Personally,  I like to pour this over waffles, pancakes or ice cream too!

About the Apple Cider

To get that sweet apple flavor into the caramel sauce, you need to reduce one cup of apple cider down to 1/4 cup.  This takes a little patience, but not much work.  Or if you would prefer, you can purchase a bottle of Boiled Apple Cider.   The work is done for you and all you have to do is pour out 1/4 cup and add the other ingredients.  When shopping for boiled apple cider make sure there are no additional sugar or other ingredients added.   In less than 8 minutes, you will have a beautiful caramel sauce.

While trying to achieve the best flavor and texture for the calories, several versions were made. When it came down to the finished product, this version had the texture and flavor that is expected from a caramel sauce.
